More than 600 guests filled the newly-renovated Imperial Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta on April 19, 2007, as Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine marked its 20th anniversary with a black-tie gala.

The celebration commemorated the evolution of Black Atlanta’s leading source of relevant business news from its beginnings to the present day. Opening the evening with a VIP reception sponsored by Coca-Cola Enterprises and Tezon Tequila, publisher Pat Lottier hosted an intimate gathering to welcome special guest Earl G. Graves Sr., chairman and publisher of BLACK ENTERPRISE Magazine. During the gala, attendees were entertained by R&B and Jazz ensemble 5 Men on a Stool, and inspired by the Graves’ rousing keynote address praising Lottier for molding the publication into “a unique and effective vehicle for African-American economic advancement.”

“The credit belongs to all those who have contributed to the magazine over the last two decades — to the writers, editors, advertisers and sales staff who make sure endeavors possible,” Graves said. “But it all had to start with a vision ...”

Join us in congratulating Kerream Jones!

Kerream Jones was born in Reading, Pa. Beginning as an illustrator, his younger years were spent creating and emulating cartoon and comic book characters. Jones' interest in painting was not born until his first year of high school. It was in an art class under the guidance of a very enthusiastic art instructor that he was introduced to painting.
