The study, “What We Get Wrong About Closing the Racial Wealth Gap,” is the latest from the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity at Duke University and is led by renown economists Dr. William Darity, Jr. and Dr. Darrick Hamilton.

Notably, University of Maryland research professor and professor of Communication Studies Dr. Jared Ball’s ongoing research into the history of “The Myth of the Black Buying Power” is included as a central component in the report’s exposure of other myths related to common beliefs about wealth and race.
