Leading Voice Over Industry Professionals to Converge in Atlanta, March 20th-23rd for the 2014 VO Atlanta Voiceover Conference

With Atlanta’s fast becoming a big screen, music and entertainment mecca, those often “heard” but “unseen” are making themselves visible and planting their feet in the Atlanta marketplace. Voiceover artists are a unique niche of actors.  They bring voice to character and vision; bring life to narration and advertising and are hired to communicate with almost every facet of society.  What we don’t see, we often take for granted, not realizing the magnitude of its impact, as highlighted in the recent CNN story on Susan Bennett, the voice behind Siri. “The voice over industry is indeed affected in a positive manner since Atlanta has become the third most active film and television market in the country,” says Jeffrey Umberger, industry expert and agent of the premier Atlanta voice over talent agency, Umberger Agency.

VoiceoverCity, LLC (VOC) President, accomplished facilitator, and Founder of the VO Atlanta Voiceover Conference, Gerald Griffith, noticed a gap and set out to create a platform for both regional and national voiceover professionals. [CLICK HERE TO VIEW GERALD GRIFFITH’S BIOGRAPHY]Griffith’s company, VOC, along with several major sponsors including, Edge Studio, ACX (an Amazon platform), Voices.com, and Sennheiser USA, will host VO Atlanta 2014 Voice Over Conference, the Southeast’s major, 4-day, voice over industry event.  Curious, novice and seasoned voiceover artists will have direct access to educational resources, voiceover professionals and agents; along with coaches and trainers with industry tips and insights for professional advancement. “We are excited to be on the cutting edge of this industry,” says Griffith, “VoiceoverCity has a lot to offer to professionals seeking to make an impact in creative communications and the conference is just the tip of the iceberg.”  Last year’s event attracted attendees from 27 different states, and Bermuda.

The VO Atlanta 2014 Voiceover Conference, being held at the Atlanta Airport Hilton on March 20th-23rd, 2014, will boast exceptional speakers, leaders and presenters in the voice-over industry.  This year’s presenters include Looney Toone’s voice actor Bob Bergen, corporate, gaming, film and show voice actor, Dave Fennoy, motivational guru, Lauren Hudson, industry expert, Jeffery Umberger, special guest voice actor, Randy Thomas, the spokes voice for Entertainment Tonight (ET) and The 2014 Oscars, as well as, many other accomplished voiceover industry professionals.  Of its many special features, the conference will incorporate a youth component, Youth VO, facilitated by Emmy Award winning casting director, Stevie Vallance [CLICK HERE TO VIEW A Q&A WITH STEVIE VALLANCE].
