Lilia Stokes is a rising senior and mass media arts major at Clark Atlanta University. She has written for the Atlanta Hawks, and blogged for CBS Radio’s V-103 Webmag. Stokes plans on working in the field of communications upon graduating, while simultaneously working toward a master’s degree. She hopes to either become an editor for a major publication, or serve as a publicist. The Atlanta native formerly played basketball for CAU and still enjoys the sport; but off the court, she enjoys being around family and friends, blogging, reading and shopping.
Jhanay Davis is a rising sophomore at Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, NC, where she is studying journalism and media studies. She is an Atlanta native and a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School. Though her course load is rigorous, Davis also writes for BELLE Magazine, Bennett’s lifestyle magazine geared toward college-aged women. After graduation, she plans to pursue an array of positions within the communications field particularly in the corporate sector.
Courtney Boyd is a fourth-year college student living, working and learning in Atlanta. She is a Collegiate Culture Examiner for Examiner.com and a freelance writer whose work has been featured in two publications: Georgia State University’s award-winning student paper The Signal, and the digital magazine, For Harriet. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, writing and performing spoken word. A self-described southern girl with city wishes, she aspires to pursue a career as a magazine editor and independent filmmaker after earning a degree in print journalism.
